Inauguración del Museo Digital en el Centro Cultural Ex Estación de Ferrocarriles, Punta del Cobre
En palabras del Alcalde Cristóbal Zúñiga A.: “Hoy es un día de inmensa alegría para nuestra comuna. Con este museo, no solo preservamos nuestra historia, sino que también la proyectamos hacia el futuro con la tecnología del siglo XXI. Estamos emocionados de ofrecer a nuestros vecinos y vecinas un lugar donde puedan conectar con sus raíces y donde nuestros niños y niñas puedan aprender y valorar su herencia cultural de una manera interactiva y moderna.”
Durante los últimos meses, la comunidad ha participado activamente en la recopilación de historias y elementos patrimoniales que ahora forman parte de este museo.
Desde la elección de la mascota del Museo por los niños y niñas de nuestras escuelas, hasta la inclusión de personajes históricos, mitos, leyendas, y la rica historia de la minería y la pirquinería, cada detalle ha sido cuidadosamente integrado en este espacio.
